A formal program of Professional Driver Development training is a great asset in the defence against a lawsuit. Demonstrating to the courts that your company availed itself of the most up to date training available may be a key factor in an action for negligence.

All MTI programs are documented and a file is maintained on each driver showing which courses he or she took and the results achieved.

MTI would be pleased to create a corporate training program for your company. A complete program involves:

• pre-hire testing for new drivers
• evaluation of all current drivers
• semi-annual Development training for all drivers
• typically Space Management in the Spring and Adverse Conditions in the Fall
• special sessions on Fuel Management, Progressive Shifting as needed
• remedial instruction for drivers needing extra training

MTI's Simulator training can be augmented by in-truck training at MTI's head office in Castlegar, BC.
